AHI in Belo Horizonte city, Brasil.

Professor Wagner Marcenes presented the the Affordable Health Initiative Health Promoting School model to members of the Department of Dental Public Health, Dental School, Federal University of Minas Gerais. It was noted that the DPH was already operating in schools in Belo Horizonte and that the aim of the current running programme was in accordance with the AHI objective. AHI and the DPH agreed to establish a collaboration to implement and evaluate the AHI HPS model, initially in four schools serving socioeconomic deprived areas of Belo Horizonte.
